About this set
Vintage Japanese sets (1996–2001)
Our vintage Japanese singles come from the earliest eras of the Pokémon Trading Card Game: the Expansion Pack (20 October 1996), Pokémon Jungle (5 March 1997), Rocket Gang (21 November 1997, the counterpart of the English Team Rocket), the Vending Machine Series 1 and 2 (1998), the Neo sets Gold, Silver, to a New World… (February 2000), Crossing the Ruins… (July 2000) and Darkness, and to Light… (April 2001), and the e-Card era Base Expansion Pack (December 2001). Before the e-Card era, Japanese cards carried no collector number, so they are identified by their set symbol and Pokédex number. Older cards are rarely perfect, so please check the grade of each card carefully.
Condition grades in our shop: Mint = a perfect card; Grade A = minor damage; Grade B = visible damage; Grade C = played, with clearly visible damage. The grade of each card is shown on its product page.
