Set overview
Pokémon Jungle was the second expansion of the Pokémon Card Game, released in Japan on 5 March 1997. Based on the original Red, Green and Blue games, it features Generation I Pokémon and is said to take place in the Kanto Safari Zone. The Japanese release has 48 cards; the English Jungle, released on 16 June 1999, was expanded to 64 cards by adding non-holo prints of the holo rares.
Notable cards
The Japanese holo rares include Snorlax, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Scyther, Clefable, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime and Pidgeot. Jungle completes the original Kanto line-up started by Base Set and remains a favourite among vintage collectors.
